Frequently Asked Questions

We recommend using Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or other Chromium-based browsers to ensure all features work properly.

Simply select subtitle files (e.g., .srt/.vtt/.json) or chapter files from your folder and drag them into the player window — they’ll be auto-loaded.

Click the "Subtitle" button in the control bar, select "Subtitle Search", enter a keyword, and a list of matching lines and timestamps will appear. Click any result to instantly jump to that moment.

Due to browser security restrictions, playback history for local files cannot be retained after refreshing the page.

This feature is designed for online videos.

  • After selecting a segment, the player will loop that part.
  • Click the "Record" button to save only that segment.

Click the "Record" button and choose "Audio Only". You can also preset "Extract Audio Only" in Settings → Recording Settings for future recordings.

Go to Settings → Audio Enhancement and enable Volume Boost — up to 4× amplification available.

Right-click on the player area and select "Shortcut Guide" to view the full list of hotkeys.

ZWPlayer provides multiple convenient ways for quick playback and navigation: 1) Click the "Speed" button to select playback speed; 2) Tap left/right arrow keys to seek backward/forward 5 seconds; 3) Long press right arrow for fast forward; 4) Long press left arrow for fast rewind; 5) Long press video window for fast playback (mobile devices); 6) Shift+2 for fast playback, Shift+1 for normal speed; 7) Press 0 to go to beginning, or jump to segment start if segment selected; 8) Open subtitle search or chapter panel to search by keywords for quick jumps.
